Psychedelic rockers Tame Impala are gearing up to release their sophomore album and if there wasn’t already a sense of huge anticipation there is now, with the four piece teasing part of one of their new tracks in a trippy video.

Tame Impala’s debut record from 2010, Innerspeaker, was adored by fans and critics alike, thanks in part to its irreverent, contemporary spin on assumedly dead and forgotten sounds, as well as its unique, infinitely surprising way around a melody. The band toured Innerspeaker widely in 2010 and 2011, playing to huge adoring crowds from Coachella to Glastonbury.

If this teaser is anything to go by the new album will offer more of the retro sound that harks back to hedonistic days gone by but with a modern edge that reminds us that everything old can be made new again.
